DFL Party Calls on Ethics Committee to Widen Investigation of Coleman

The Minnesota DFL Party recently held a press conference to release a letter that DFL Chair Brian Melendez wrote to Senators Barbara Boxer and John Cornyn (respectively the chair and vice-chair of the Senate Committee on Ethics). In the letter, Melendez asks the Ethics Committee to widen its investigation into an already pending complaint against Coleman to include recent revelations that Coleman admitted receiving one year of free utilities from his Washington, D.C. landlord. That landlord is Jeff Larson, a top Republican operative who owns a million-dollar Capitol Hill townhouse and already offers Coleman a sweetheart deal to live there.
